Recent Works

Along The Coast
People frequently ask me where these places I paint are at, I guess because they look so real that folks figure they must be inspired by actual locations. In fact, they are all creations, complied from photos of any number of places or items that feels right for the painting. The idea is to instill in the viewer the feeling of "being there", to create a connection between the viewer and my art. The more convincing the illusion, the more successfully I've accomplished my goal.
The chief inspiration for "Along the Coast" was a series of different photos from Padre Island, Texas, along with some images from New Jersey beaches and Pensacola, Florida
